We MADE IT!

안녕하세요! That's the first thing i learned how to say in Korean, which means, HELLO! People say that all the time here, especially when we walk into our favorite store, Family Mart (basically a 7/11) to buy random snacks (I strongly suggest the Japanese rice triangle things--Onigiri?). Things are nice here on the island: the people, the atmosphere, the palm trees. It's pretty calming.

The major thing that's been going on since we got here is developing the curriculum for our students and getting adjusted to everything around us. We've already a good portion of the campus and found all the spots we can eat at (I think I'm going to get really fat on this trip...).

Tonight, we'll be heading out for the opening ceremony of our program and then off to the New Year's Sunrise Festival (I think we may actually stay until Sunrise), then church in the AM (so glad I found a church in Korea!)
